GORILLAS explores questions around the immaterial quality of sound. How does the invisibility of sound affect our relationship to it?
Our Role Own Artwork // Year 2018
The installation resembles a living ecosystem made of sound objects, fog and light. During the installation, the audience can interact with the sound objects, close, mute or move them in space and create their own sonic microcosmos. In its format, we regard GORILLAS as a study on modern, genre-bending scenographic practices and how they could be linked to our own practice of sound work. The installation premiered at the Retune Festival 2018 in Berlin, Germany.
